To mark the inauguration of the Réseau express métropolitain (REM), the government will make the use of this new transportation system free of charge on July 29 and 30 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
This will enable users to use this service connecting Brossard, île des Sœurs and Gare Centrale and familiarize themselves with it before its official commissioning on July 31.
A number of activities are planned on the weekend of the inauguration to properly celebrate the launch of the REM.
Two other construction phases are underway to extend the REM to Anse-à-l’Orme, Deux-Montagnes and the Montréal-Trudeau airport. See The REM under construction page for more information.
